How to Use Mobile Marketing Within Your Company

930,000 customers use Bank of America’s mobile banking services. Android handsets have doubled in growth and surpassed the I-Phone in the last 8 months. Mobile click though rates average 8.9% to 49% from online mobile advertising. These are key reasons to take mobile marketing seriously. There are three incompatible operating systems on mobile smart phones. Blackberry handles e-mail and corporate applications well. Apple’s I-Phone, which broke the mould using its applications market and it has led the industry for the last few years. Recently, Google’s Android has become the leading handset. Why should marketers react? Mobile browsers continue to be only 1% of website traffic, but you only have to consider the demographics of mobile users.

They’re educated, tech savvy with disposable income. Most mobile web browsing is done while commuting. This segment is the fastest growing market segment at the moment, with cellular devices, doubling every few months.Who’s already using mobile marketing well? Most organisations that began a type of mobile program with the holy trinity of marketing, timely, personalized, actionable messages. The best practice is completed by the news and media organisations, simply because they have the business design that supports it. However, there are other groups that do this well too. In Sydney, the Oxford clothing store uses mobile marketing with SMS to advertise its clothing sales to those that have subscribed.Mobile Marketing App?

Almost all smart phones now use GPS to give users their current location. Reebok released a free app that allowed sports individuals to track their location, consequently giving more info for their coaches. This creates involvement and interaction directly with the brand. The possibilities for mobile marketing applications are almost endless. When you combine GPS with WIFI, you could have location based marketing as a result of the area, direction and speed of travel.SMS marketing?McDonald’s, “send an SMS to Santa and receive your gift within seconds”.

Businesses promote their products utilizing a wide range of SMS marketing initiatives, including SMS coupon delivery, customer notification of specials and purchasers, event based SMS advertising they are driving event participation and much more.

Avoiding Basic Mobile Marketing MistakesMobile Marketing is cool. But it’s still new and there are a handful of simple rookie mistakes that you want to prevent.

Here they are:

1. Approaching a Mobile Marketing Campaign Like an E-mail marketing Campaign.Unlike an email recipient sitting at their computer, mobile users don’t wish to download your entire twenty seven-page Shocking Report. Instead, they’re searching for quick information. Remember, a lot of their Mobile” time is spent… Mobile. To operate a vehicle… right? Keep your message simple, like you were designing a PPC ad. It’s not that difficult and you will laser focus the interest of your mobile audience much better.

2. Not “Targeting” A crowdMobile marketing with texts only works when you send the content to the right people. Some business people and marketers result in the mistake of treating text messaging just like a mass marketing media rather than the targeting tool it had been intended to be.Mobile marketing campaigns are best used on your existing customer base. These folks happen to be familiar with you and should have already opted-in for your SMS list. Your messages are going to be welcome and given attention.

3. Hard Selling in a TextDude… seriously. Mobile is a great way to connect to consumers, but you really only have about 150 characters approximately that you’re working with… right. So consider it, if all your communication with an audience is centered on the hard-sell, chances are you will annoy the heck out of individuals who will turn a deaf ear to other things you have to say later on. When the recipients are a part of a properly opted in list, they’ll simply opt out. Why bother?Remember, improving customer retention will help you build more profitability for your business, so remember to focus on building relationships together with your customers. Should you choose that, the sales will follow.

4. Using Mobile Marketing AloneWhile mobile marketing campaigns work when utilized on their very own, they pack even more power when they are included in a Social Media marketing strategy. If you are using internet marketing, email marketing, as well as TV ads and newspaper ads, mobile marketing can be a perfect fit to integrate into those methods. For example, you are able to send text messages with links to specific mobile landing pages that have a coupon awaiting your customer. Not just that, however, you may even add your business’s QR (Quick Response) Code for your other advertising campaigns. Consumers can scan your QR code using their mobile phones and become taken right to your website, receive an immediate coupon, as well as have a virtual tour of your business via a simple YouTube video!

5. Using One-Way SMS MarketingMobile marketing is a good way to communicate back and forth with consumers, but many businesses utilize it like a boring one-way communication channel. Such a huge mistake! Mobile marketing is definitely an easy method to connect with consumers rather than “sell” for them.Your list will appreciate this more and seem like you are building a relationship together. Once you produce a good rapport with your list they’ll purchase your products. For example, you are able to connect to them by asking the phone users to email in an idea for something associated with your business. Simply send them a text asking for their help and give them an email link, or perhaps a connect to a survey in the text message. They will feel more engaged and you will be more receptive to all of your marketing and sales efforts should you mix it up a bit and allow them to engage you in a conversation.

Impossible is Just a Word !

Everyone, at some point of his or her life, has dreamed of being somebody special, somebody big. Who hasn’t fantasized about being the one who hits the game-winning homer? Who hasn’t dreamed of being the homecoming queen? And how many times have we dreamed of being rich, or successful, or happy with our relationships?

Often, we dream big dreams and have great aspirations. Unfortunately, our dreams remain just that – dreams. And our aspirations easily collect dust in our attic. This is a sad turn of events in our life. Instead of experiencing exciting adventures in self actualization, we get caught up in the humdrum of living from day-to-day just barely existing.

But you know what? Life could be so much better, if only we learned to aim higher.
The most common problem to setting goals is the word impossible. Most people get hung up thinking I can’t do this. It’s too hard. It’s too impossible. No one can do this.

However, if everyone thought that, there would be no inventions, no innovations, and no breakthroughs in human accomplishment.
Remember that scientists were baffled when they took a look at the humble bumblebee. Theoretically, they said, it was impossible for the bumblebee to fly. Unfortunately for the bumble, bee no one has told it so. So fly it does.
On the other hand, some people suffer from dreaming totally outrageous dreams and not acting on them. The result? Broken dreams, and tattered aspirations.

If you limit yourself with self-doubt, and self-limiting assumptions, you will never be able to break past what you deem impossible. If you reach too far out into the sky without working towards your goal, you will find yourself clinging on to the impossible dream.

Try this exercise. Take a piece of paper and write down some goals in your life. Under one header, list down things ‘you know you can do’. Under another header, write the things ‘you might be able to do.’ And under one more, list the things that that are ‘impossible for you to do.’
Now look at all the headers strive every day to accomplish the goals that are under things ‘you know you can do’. Check them when you are able to accomplish them. As you slowly are able to check all of your goals under that heading, try accomplishing the goals under the other header-the one that reads ‘you might be able to do.’

As of the items you wrote under things I could do are accomplished, you can move the goals that are under things that are ‘impossible for you to do’ to the list of things ‘you might be able to do.’As you iterate through this process, you will find out that the goals you thought were impossible become easier to accomplish. And the impossible begin to seem possible after all.
You see, the technique here is not to limit your imagination. It is to aim high, and start working towards that goal little by little. However, it also is unwise to set a goal that is truly unrealistic. Those who just dream towards a goal without working hard end up disappointed and disillusioned.

On the other hand, if you told someone a hundred years ago that it was possible for man to be on the moon, they would laugh at you. If you had told them that you could send mail from here to the other side of the world in a few seconds, they would say you were out of your mind. But, through sheer desire and perseverance, these impossible dreams are now realities.

Thomas Edison once said that genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Nothing could be truer. For one to accomplish his or her dreams, there has to be had work and discipline. But take note that that 1% has to be a think-big dream, and not some easily accomplished one.

Ask any gym rat and he or she will tell you that there can be no gains unless you are put out of your comfort zone. Remember the saying, “No pain, no gain”? That is as true as it can be.

So dream on, friend! Don’t get caught up with your perceived limitations. Think big and work hard to attain those dreams. As you step up the ladder of progress, you will just about find out that the impossible has just become a little bit more possible.

Happy Dreaming !

How Do Search Engines Work – Web Crawlers

After doing recent SEO work I thought it only good and proper that I pass on some relevant information on the subject…… so here goes.

It is the search engines that finally bring your website to the notice of the prospective customers. Hence it is better to know how these search engines actually work and how they present information to the customer initiating a search.

There are basically two types of search engines. The first is by robots called crawlers or spiders.

Search Engines use spiders to index websites. When you submit your website pages to a search engine by completing their required submission page, the search engine spider will index your entire site. A ‘spider’ is an automated program that is run by the search engine system. Spider visits a web site, read the content on the actual site, the site’s Meta tags and also follow the links that the site connects. The spider then returns all that information back to a central depository, where the data is indexed. It will visit each link you have on your website and index those sites as well. Some spiders will only index a certain number of pages on your site, so don’t create a site with 500 pages!

The spider will periodically return to the sites to check for any information that has changed. The frequency with which this happens is determined by the moderators of the search engine.

A spider is almost like a book where it contains the table of contents, the actual content and the links and references for all the websites it finds during its search, and it may index up to a million pages a day.

Example: Excite, Lycos, AltaVista and Google.

When you ask a search engine to locate information, it is actually searching through the index which it has created and not actually searching the Web. Different search engines produce different rankings because not every search engine uses the same algorithm to search through the indices.

One of the things that a search engine algorithm scans for is the frequency and location of keywords on a web page, but it can also detect artificial keyword stuffing or spamdexing. Then the algorithms analyze the way that pages link to other pages in the Web. By checking how pages link to each other, an engine can both determine what a page is about, if the keywords of the linked pages are similar to the keywords on the original page.

I hope that has given you an insight and how important SEO is to your webpages.

Improve Your Sales With Auto Responders .. !

Improve your marketing and sales with some auto responder Improvements. Try some of these:

1. Publish free reports to send via your auto responder. The reports should be related to your business or web site & contain info, ads and links to your sites. People love getting freebies.

2. Collect vital customer satisfaction information by publishing a survey to send via auto responder to those who sign up on your site in exchange for a free eBook, software or trial period at your membership site. This type of information will help you understand their needs, likes & dislikes better.

3. Instead of answering each customer question that is e-mailed to you, publish “Frequently Ask Questions” and make them available via auto responder to those who sign up. To save time and support headaches.

4. Instead of publishing all of your customer testimonials or endorsements on your website, publish only a few there. And set up an auto responder form that invites visitors to receive a complete list via your. Give them a power-packed list; it’s more effective to include all of them.

Mix and match. Change your auto responder strategy to change your auto responder results!

Auto Responder Improvements

Stuck in an auto responder rut with only your eZine going out regularly? Get out of the rut with some of these ideas for improvements.

1. Provide back issues of your eZine archives via your auto responder instead of hosting all your archives online. This will give your subscribers and web site visitors easy access to them and offers a chance to include graphics, audio and video and other components all rolled up in .pdf files for quick, easy download.

2. Help with tech issues and publish your entire web site, save it in a pdf file, and load it into an auto responder. Sometimes visitors don’t have enough time read your entire site or they lose their Internet connection or time online. So this way, they could print it out and read it offline.

3. You could offer your eBook via an auto responder. Often your visitors won’t have to download it or have the software to read it right away, so this way they can take it “to go”.

4. For a handy – -and nice legal – touch, you could include the terms and conditions to purchase transactions and load them into an auto responder that is triggered with each purchase. This could include return policies, purchases, refunds etc.

The Complete Guide To Affiliate Marketing!

There are many different ways of making money on the net, but there is no doubt that one of the most popular online marketing models continues to be affiliate marketing. Nevertheless, whilst this is at heart a very simple business model, that are many potential traps into which a less experienced affiliate might fall, so having access to a complete guide to affiliate marketing would definitely be advantageous if you’re just starting out.
For example, some new affiliates mistakenly equate the simplicity of the affiliate marketing business model to it being easy to make money as an affiliate.
Unfortunately, one does not necessarily tie in with the other automatically.
Consequently, some new affiliates do not see the instant torrent of sales that they probably expected so they become disappointed and perhaps even disillusioned with the whole idea of affiliate marketing very quickly.
This is clearly a trap to avoid, something that you can easily do by setting realistic objectives from the beginning. This is important because although it might appear as if marketing on the net is a completely new business paradigm, it is really only a variation on a traditional business.
As a result, affiliate marketing must also be viewed as a business too and a ‘proper’ business always has sensible, achievable targets. For example, if you were to open a store in your local mall tomorrow, you would not expect to earn a huge amount of money in the first month, so why should your affiliate marketing business be any different?
Another common mistake that is made by new affiliate marketers is to believe that there really is some ‘hidden secret’ that only a few ‘gurus’ are privy to, some kind of ‘hidden key’ that guarantees success. Unfortunately, you have to accept that you are never going to learn these ‘secrets’ or find the ‘hidden key’, not because they are really hidden or known to only a few but because they do not in reality exist.
Again, think of affiliate marketing as a real business. In genuine businesses, there are no secrets or keys that unlock the ‘treasure chest’ as the treasure chest itself is a myth. Thus, desperately searching for an easy ‘leg up’ to instant affiliate marketing success will also be a frustrating waste of time.
The bottom line is, achieving affiliate marketing success happens as a result of diligent market research allied to an ability to make sure that your promotional message is seen by as many suitable prospects as possible.
You also need patience, determination and a certain degree of stubbornness that allows you to overcome difficulties to bounce back more strongly and even more determined to achieve success than you were before.
Of course, a relatively short article like this one can never pretend to be the complete guide to affiliate marketing that you almost certainly need to have if you just got started in this business. Nevertheless, by understanding that affiliate marketing is a genuine business and that like all businesses, you should set realistic targets and goals from the outset is a crucial first step towards achieving affiliate marketing success.

V-Mail An Awesome Way To Market…..

Okay What Is V-Mail ?

Well V- Mail stands for Video Email, don’t worry I hadn’t heard of it either…. until recently that is, but I know that this technology will be exploding very soon. We have all heard of You Tube which has been around a few years now and grown tremendously in that time. In that time though commercial businesses such as ours have not used this method to advertise our businesses. Now there is a few reasons for that such as having the you tube logo stuck in the frame and your customers having to click a link on a webpage or email.

Well it’s time to bring video marketing into the 21st century. I have aligned myself with a company which has an awesome array of products, and video mail is just one of them. This is how it works firstly you go and up load all your contacts into the video mail system. These can be uploaded via a csv file and imported and can be 10′s of 1000′s at a time. You are then ready to go.

Once you have opened up the video mail you can not only record a new video right there but also upload videos from your desktop straight into your video library. Now nothing new there…. but here’s where it gets exciting once you have your video you can then place it within a fully customisable template to suit your business. Within that template you can have all your contact details such as your name, phone number, email addresses and even your website address. How cool is that. Now they have hundreds of different templates which you can use for a range of emails, birthday wishes, party invites even holiday messages, could mean the postcard being a thing of the past…

But it’s the commercial aspect that we are looking at today…. so you have your video and template and you are ready to send to your customers, employees or business associates….all you do is select your contact list and press send. Simple….

Okay a question for you are you more likely to to read a 500 word email or listen to a 2-3 minute video mail, well figures show that 70 % of people, that’s your customers, are more likely to watch a video mail than read one. Now Marketing is all about getting your product, company or brand in front of people.  Well this is where this product is so awesome when the recipient of the email opens it your template is there right in front of them all they do is click to play. How cool is that.

Now not only does this company have the video mail but also video conferencing  and webcasting. Here are a few things your business can use this for, training videos, presentations, corporate advertising for your self and your clients, promotions, instructional videos how to fit your new blind etc, and the list goes on and on. Remember this doesn’t stop here with streaming direct to mobile phones you can now hold a conference call from the golf course if you wish.

Bring your business into the 21st century and check it out.

3 Things All Affiliate Marketers Need To Survive Online

Every affiliate marketer is always looking for the successful market that gives the biggest paycheck. Sometimes they think it is a magic formula that is readily available for them. Actually, it is more complicated than that. It is just good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication.
There are tactics that have worked before with online marketing and is continuing to work in the online affiliate marketing world of today. With these top three marketing tips, you will be able to able to increase your sales and survive in the affiliate marketing online.

What are these three tactics?

1. Using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do to those who buys them. Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product.

Be sure that these customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing.

You can also write articles highlighting the uses of the product and include them on the website as an additional page. Make the pages attractive compelling and include calls to act on the information. Each headline should attract the readers to try and read more, even contact you. Highlight your special points. This will help your readers to learn what the page is about and will want to find out more.

2. Offer free reports to your readers. If possible position them at the very top side of your page so it they simply cannot be missed. Try to create autoresponder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box. According to research, a sale is closed usually on the seventh contact with a prospect.

Only two things can possibly happen with the web page alone: closed sale or the prospect leaving the page and never return again. By placing useful information into their inboxes at certain specified period, you will remind them of the product they thought they want later and will find out that the sale is closed. Be sure that the content is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product. Do not make it sound like a sales pitch.

Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in the email. As much as possible, avoid using the word “free” because there are still older spam filters that dumps those kind of contents into the junk before even anyone reading them first. Convince those who signed up for your free reports that they will be missing something big if they do not avail of your products and services.

3. Get the kind of traffic that is targeted to your product. Just think, if the person who visited your website has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, they will be among those who move on and never come back. Write articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports. This way you can locate publications that is focusing on your target customers and what you have put up might just grab their interest.

Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with at least 300-600 words in length.

By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day.
Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or get your services. If you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, that means you can made 10 sales based on the average statistic.

The tactics given above does not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires a little time and an action plan on your part.

Try to use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs. You can end maintaining a good source of income and surviving in this business that not all marketers can do.

Besides, think of the huge paychecks you will be receiving…
